Le domaine La Toupie started in 2012 in the South of France, 25 km from Perpignan and on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, in the heart of the Catalan country. Its vineyard produces Côtes du Roussillon, Côtes du Roussillon Villages and Maury Label of Origin wines. Coiled at the foot of the Canigou peak and in the foothills of the Pyrénées mountains, le Domaine La Toupie extends for 9 hectares along the soils of Fenouillèdes, near the village of Maury. It is on this soil that Jérôme Collas, agronomist and wine expert, has chosen to become a winemaker to fulfil his passion for wine.

La Toupie, a story of opportunity, of coincidence which pushes you to act, to answer a dream that has been embedded for years.

The practicalities of the size of the task is, above all, an exercise in patience… It involves, on average, 500 stumps per day, which involves several months work to complete the 9 hectares.

This area is full of history relating to the Cathar castles and winemaking traditions …
